Need to always unlock twice with 1Password for Safari 2.1.2

I have 1Password for Safari 2.1.2 (not integrated with 1Password 8), and every time I want to unlock it, I have to enter my password twice. The extension doesn’t tell me anything is wrong, but it simply will not unlock the first time around.

OS Version: macOS X 12.0

    Hey @cortig ,
    That doesn't sound right.

    Do you have more than one 1Password.com account set up in the extension?
    Have you already tried removing the extension and re-installing it again from the App Store?
    And are you certain that "Integrate with 1Password app" is turned off in the extension's settings?

    I have only one account, removing the extension and reinstalling did not correct the issue and the integration is turned off indeed both in the extension and in the app.
