Please tell me where to find the step-by-step procedure to change from a license to a subscription.

I am moving from a license to a subscription in anticipation of 1PW 8. I already have the new subscription, but I want to clean up the saved data in the license before I move the data it to the subscription. I'm not very smart, so a step-by-step procedure would be appreciated... I know you must have it somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I have gotten help here in the past, you are great folks. Thank you for what you do.
