Hello.
I have purchased perpetual for Apple and for Windows
the only problem is Linux perpetual license doesn't exists.
It seems to be ONLY designed to work with 1password.com

Please don't try to convince me the of the subscription system's merit. I understand it's all about recurring cash flow.

Can I please just get a yes or no answer?
Any plans to allow us to buy this on Linux?

I don't mind paying the cost of 3 years in advance.
it's irrelevant.

I have way too many bills already.
I hate subscription with passion.

I am doing everything I can to make sure I don't keep using 1Pasword.
I have successfully emulated 1Password on Linux, so I'm getting close.

But I do like a native linux app.

thanks, again, PLEASE do not say membership is 'better'. it is absolutely not.

  • Hi, @xavierbaez

1Password 8 will always require a server. We have not built it to work in a serverless mode.

We have another long thread in the forums discussing the possibility of a self-hosted solution. We also have a survey to gather information about how users would want a self-hosted solution.

At this time, though, we do not have plans for a perpetual license. We will make announcements if that changes in the future.
