I downloaded and ran the 1PasswordInstaller.app to install the beta 8.5.0. I'm trying to delete this app from the ~/downloads folder. Files in the subfolder "Contents" won't delete as the Mac reports "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items." There are so many files that have this problem. The files are not "locked". It appears I have permission. All seem to be 0700 with my ID the "owner" and "staff" the group.

Followup: The offending folder was in the backup of downloads that resided on my NAS. I deleted the files on the NAS and now all is well. I don't know why the permissions messed up. Probably nothing to do with 1Password.

To clarify permissions, all files and directories have "drwx------ 1 rmschne staff 16384 28 Nov 16:20 Frameworks" permissions (far as I can tell)

  • Hey @rmschne, glad to hear you got it working!
