Masked Email Frustrations

I'm having a hard time getting any interfaces for Masked Email functionality to show up. I've found other threads that refer to it but the solutions haven't worked for me. I was able to get it to to work pretty quick after launch but only for a couple of sites and since then haven't had any luck.

I'm using Safari on Mac. Originally I was using the 1Password 7.x app version with the bundled extension. I read that the Masked Email is only supported with the new standalone extension which I installed. After seeing no improvement with that I upgraded to the 8.x beta. I've tried with both the extension integrated and disconnected from the installed application.

No matter what I'm not able to get 1Password to ask to generate an email for me when signing up for new sites. The dropdown menu that 1Password shows only contains 2 items, one for my first name and the second for my normal email.

The test website I've been trying is LinkedIn as I don't have an account for that site.

What else can I try? I'd really like to take advantage of this.

    Can you please post a screenshot of this? Please make sure you hide your name and email for your privacy before posting it :+1:

    Also, can you please confirm that you have successfully integrated your 1Password account to Fastmail as shown here: https://support.1password.com/fastmail/

    Hi there,

    I can confirm that the integration with Fastmail show up in the 1Password account and Fastmail account. Fastmail also lets me know that the last access by 1Password is 5 minutes ago.

    I've attached the requested screenshot showing the username menu I see.

    Thanks for that screenshot there. Would you mind following these steps and trying again on LinkedIn?

    1. Disable the integration in Fastmail by selecting "Review access" in the 1Password row, then "Remove access": https://www.fastmail.com/settings/masked
    2. Disable the integration in 1Password, by selecting the Fastmail entry, then "Deactivate Fastmail" : https://my.1password.com/integrations/active
    3. Enable the integration in Fastmail: https://www.fastmail.com/settings/masked
    4. After signing in to 1Password again to confirm the integration, verify that your Fastmail email address is shown in the Integration directory again: https://my.1password.com/integrations/active

    Thank you for your screenshot. It is strange indeed. Please try these steps to set up Fastmail again to see if it makes a difference?

    Go to https://www.fastmail.com/ > Sign in to your account > Select your account at the top left corner > Settings > Masked email > Review access > Unlock using 1Password's master password> Remove access > Ok > Select "Connect to 1Password"
    and follow the prompts to integrate with 1Password again.

    Please try these additional steps to give 1Password a fresh start if that doesn't work.

    Quit Safari > Open Applications and move "1Password for Safari" to trash > Go to Mac App Store and install a fresh copy of "1Password for Safari".

    I followed the steps from Jack first since they didn't include the extension re-download and I figured I could've done that afterwards if nothing changed.

    After removing and re-enabling the integrations I am seeing the Masked Email prompt on email fields as I expect again. Unfortunately I'm not sure what I could have done or what happened between my two accounts to cause this to break in the first place.

    I'm certain you didn't do anything wrong and that things just glitched. We'll keep an eye on things to see if this is a broader issue.
