FireFox: can 1Password auto-fill username & password?

Options

Hello again! Still trying 1Password out in the trial period.

I have found a difference in password-filling behaviour between 1Password and the built-in FireFox password manager.

With Firefox, if only one logon id is stored for a particular website, FireFox will go right ahead and fill in the user id and password fields.

With 1Password, this does not happen. You have to click on one of the fields, which opens a 1Passwod box listing all of the saved usernames and passwords for this site, which in most cases is only one, and click on it to fill in the fields.

Is there no auto-fill option on 1Password, or have I just not found it?

@Dogmatix Hello again. This is another one of those security features. You need to click to auto-fill to avoid attacks which syphon-off your passwords without your knowledge.

Our friend @rootzero is correct. For security reasons, 1Password requires you to explicitly ask it to autofill your credentials. :+1:
