Hello 1Password Team,

I love the new function "attach file to item". Now it's so easy to add e.g. receipts to software licences and so on.

I have a feature suggestion to improve this function:
When I want to view a attached file, it will be downloaded decrypted to the download folder.
So I have to remember to delete the file safely again after viewing.

I would be better to have two options:

  • Download to folder (as already available)
  • InApp (pre)view for various file types (JPG, PNG, TXT, PDF...)

The advantage is the fast and above all secure view of the files without thinking about the secure deletion after viewing.

Also it would be great to be able to rename the file name within 1Password.

    As it currently stands, there isn't any way to preview attachments in 1Password, but I definitely see how it would be useful. I've added your input to an issue we have tracking this. Thanks again for your feedback!
