Dell login missing from 1Password Extension

My Dell.com login information does NOT come up in 1Password Extension in Chrome, but does come up in the 1Password on my desktop. What is the problem?

Also it was surprising that the logo for Dell did not attach itself.

Sorry, my Extension version is currently 4.7.5.90.

  • Hello @break80,

Can you please open the 1Password desktop app > Select your Dell login item > Edit > Scroll down to "Display" and let me know if the box next to "never display in browser" is ticked?

If not, can you share a screenshot of the item you see in the app and what happens when you go to your website and search for it in the 1Password extension? You can find instructions on creating a screenshot on your platform from here: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/.

Please remember to cover all your personal information before sending me a screenshot.

To get this working again, I deleted the old login in (the one without the logo showing) and created a new one manually. That worked AND the logo automatically shows in 1Password desktop and the Chrome Extension.

I noticed the following about the deleted one:
    1. I think it was automatically created when I created the Dell account form my iPhone. I have never been successful creating an account from my phone. Is there a trick to it?
    2. There was no login name or logo image in the login record.

  • I am happy to hear that creating a new login item put things back on track, and thank you for the screenshots. I can say the Dell login item you saved in 1Password is a password item and not a regular login item, and that is why you see a genetic key icon instead of Dell's icon.

Also, it seems like you still have 1Password 7 for your computer, so I recommend updating 1Password 8 from here: https://1password.com/downloads. After installing the new 1Password app, you can download 1Password for your browser from here: https://1password.com/downloads => scroll down to "Get 1Password in your browser" and select a browser.

Thanks. Installed 8 in both. Now have to do same on another computer. My iPhone has 7.9.3. Is there a version 8?

Hey @break80, 1Password 7.9.3 is the latest version of our app on iOS. So you should be good to go there. To use 1Password on your iPhone, please make sure to set up AutoFill and follow the steps here: https://support.1password.com/ios-autofill/
