Blue cursor conceals right part of characters in the master password input field

  • Is this bug reproducible?

Yes, it is.
  • Which devices did this bug appear on and is it reproducible on any devices?

It appeared on my iPod touch 5G, unfortunately I have no other iOS6 devices.
  • A quick summary of the bug:

When first setting up the device the blue cursor in the master password input field is above the second half of the master password's letters and therefore conceals the right half of each character.
  • Detailed Step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce it:

1. Boot newly installed 1P 4
2. Pick "I've used 1P before"
3. Pick "Use dropbox" and allow 1P to use dropbox
4. Look at the blue cursor in the input field for the master password.
5. Type any letter, e.g. "L". You can see that the cursor is above the "L" and not to its right. So the "L" almost looks like an "I".

  • Hi Fabian,

Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce this on my iPod Touch 5th gen. Here's a screenshot of what I saw when I tried this:

I had a hard time getting the shot at perfect timing but that should work. The blue cursor was on the right side away from the letter as it should be.

I wonder if you only saw this in 1Password or do you see this issue in other apps as well where they have password fields?

Could you try restarting your iPod touch and see if that'll fix it, it might be a glitch in iOS as the positioning is done by iOS.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks!
