Is there a way to search for a password?
I have received notifications (via MyFICO) that some of my data has been found on the dark web. Is there a way to search my current passwords to see if anything matches?

Bummer
In the 7.9.3 app for mac:
On the left near top of page, click to open all vaults.
At the top center of the page, type the password in the search box. (search is not case sensitive)
Then click the button underneath that says "expand search to all fields"In the current ios app:
At the bottom of the page, tap categories
Then at top of the page, type the password in the search box (search is not case sensitive)
Then tap the button underneath that says "search everything"Other 1p apps might be similar

Huh. This is very surprising. How is this not a security vulnerability?

If you have a list of specific passwords from the breach to search & change,
The search suggested above occurs entirely within 1password, so it is secure.
(A mac or ios device can also search using spotlight, if that's enabled. It's a convenience.
I don't have it enabled, so not sure what all spotlight can access in 1password.)If you don't have a specific list of breached login sites, emails, passwords connected to you,
then use 1password's Watchtower.Read this for Watchtower privacy in 1Password
https://support.1password.com/watchtower-privacy/Read this for how to use Watchtower to find passwords you need to change
https://support.1password.com/watchtower/Quickest is:
sign in to 1password.com,
click a vault,
click watchtower,
check the breach report for that vault,
go to those logins, change those passwords.
Repeat on next vaultThen enable watchtower & notifications in your 1password apps for continuous checks for compromised websites.
I keep watchtower enabled in both mac & ios apps.0 -
Hi @DCbigpappa:
As mentioned by @vellum (thanks for the assist! 😎), you can use Watchtower to find items you need to change. Let me know if you run into any trouble along the way, or if you need some additional help.
