Greetings, testers! This week in our 4th Early Access release we have some new tiles for the customizable Home Screen in 1Password 8: Recently Used, Frequently Used, and Pinned Fields! Pinned Fields give you the ability to copy a field you need often with a single tap. One of the numerous ways to use Pinned Fields is to pin a one-time password, so you can see or copy it easily. To do so, go to an item and long-press on a field, then tap Pin to Home Screen.

Thank you so much for testing and for all of your feedback so far. We really hope you enjoy this week's updates. Please share your experiences in the 1Password Support Community. https://1password.community/categories/1password-ios-beta-builds

The recently used Fields are a great addition!

From my testing it seems to currently only work for logins performed through the iOS password manager system, and doesn't count logins done via the safari extension.

  • Hey folks!

    Thank you! <3

That is correct and is a limitation of the current system. This build includes the first cut of frequently/recently used item tracking. This means folks may not see it on their home screen until they start using items (e.g copying passwords). Also 1Password for Safari doesn’t (yet? 🙏🏻) count as item usage so that action won’t cause items to appear.

Thanks for the update! Looks good so far... ❤️

At first glance this is really nice - good stuff, thank you.

Has anybody noticed that 1Password 8 is much faster at filling forms than 1Password 7 was? It pops up, does Face ID, and fills the form much faster. Not specific to this release, but a remarkable improvement.

Looks good so far.. one suggestion.. the pinned field, allow them to be removed from the home screen directly. currently we need to open the field and then remove it. i believe it would be better experience.

  • Great feedback @hvarun87, it’s definitely something we want to do!

When logging in to 1password on the web in mobile, with the Autofill, the Secret Key isn't being filled on the form.. whereas if I use the Safari browser extension on iOS, it fills in all three fields.. any specific reason for this behavior?

  • Hi @hvarun87

The Autofill framework itself can fill up to two fields (a username and a password). It cannot fill fields beyond that, at present. Our Safari Web Extension has the ability to fill any number of fields.
