How can I tell where my vault is located?

Hi,

I think I followed the instructions for the migration to 1P8 from 1P7. But is there a way for me to know that my vaults are stored with you versus Dropbox and iCloud?

    Hello @StanPHL! 👋

    If you're using 1Password 8 then your vaults are stored on 1Password.com since 1Password 8 no longer supports standalone vaults synced using iCloud or Dropbox. You can confirm that all of your data is backed up to 1Password by logging in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app).

    Hi, @Dave_1P. I logged into 1Password.com and did see all my passwords, router, documents, etc. Should I delete the files in Dropbox and iCloud? And I'm assuming they are the .opvault files? Thanks for explaining how I can verify all is good.

    If you're certain that you can see all of your items when you log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app) AND you don't see a Primary vault on any of your devices then it's safe to remove the old vaults from Dropbox and iCloud.
