Why can you not copy individual text it a text field on a saved item?

in Desktop betas (Mac, Windows, and Linux)

When I put some text in the additional text field you can add, you can only copy the whole field. Would it be possible to able to copy individual text that you can highlight?

    Hi there! Thanks for the suggestion. I brought it up with the design team this morning, and currently it looks as if those fields are working as intended (the one click to make it as simple as possible to copy values) but we can definitely see the potential usefulness of partial copy for certain items.

    We've added it to our internal design discussion to see if we can find a solution that could accommodate without impacting existing functionality
