Licensed 1P 7 and Trial of 1P 8 on the same Mac?

I have used the licensed version of 1P for many years. Now I would like to do a trial of 1P 8. Can I install both 1Ps on the same Mac? Are there any problems I need to watch-out for?

    We generally do not recommend using both 1Password 7 and 8 at the same time as you may run into issues. 1Password 8 requires a membership account and does not support standalone vaults. This means that on 1Password 7, since you're using a license, your data will not be available in 1Password 8. Also, any changes made in your standalone vaults will not reflect on 1Password 8 and on your membership account (and vice versa).

    If you'd like your data to be available in 1Password 8, I'd suggest migrating your data from your standalone vaults over to a membership account.
