Chrome extension no longer using Windows Hello to sign in

Options

For the past few days, the Chrome extension on one machine no longer offers sign in via Windows Hello. All other PCs we use 1Password with are working as expected. Windows Hello sign-in does work when signing in to the desktop app installed. It's only the browser extension that does not. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've also checked that Windows Hello in enabled in settings > security. Not sure what else to try. Of course I can continue to sign in with my full password, but it is cumbersome.

1Password Version: 8.7.2
Extension Version: 2.3.5
OS Version: Win11 (Chrome 102.0.5005.115)

  • Hi @earmsby:

Just to confirm, is "Integrate with 1Password app" enabled in the settings for 1Password in Chrome? To check, right click the 1Password icon in Chrome's toolbar, then choose Settings. Look for "Integrate with 1Password app" and ensure that it's enabled. If it's enabled, disable it, then reenable it. Let me know if that improves your state of play, or if you're still running into trouble.
