Hi Guys
I'm new to this 1Password tool. So i juat ask my question here
With our intention, we do need one people for each team to manage their group
For starter we create 2 groups (group1admin, group1member) then i want to add someone to group1admin then that someone can add more people in group1member. But as we try we cannot make it.
So is there a way to do this ?

  • Hi @rartchap

    Welcome to 1Password. 😃

In order to manage the members of a group, an individual would need to either:

    1. Be a member of the group to be managed, and be given the 'Manager' permission within (read more)
    2. Be part of a group that has been given the 'Manage All Groups' permission (read more)

It is not possible for group1admin members to manage the members of group1member except under the above circumstances. It sounds like #1 may be the more desirable situation for your use case. I hope that helps!

  • As an addendum, we do support a number of identity providers for automating user/group provisioning, using our SCIM bridge. That may be of interest:

    Hi Ben
Thank you for your answer. As you said I should go with #1 coz manage all group is not the thing we want.

  • On behalf of Ben, you're very welcome.
