It would be great if 1Password would support showing QR codes for Wi-Fi passwords (see https://cweiske.de/tagebuch/wifi-config-qrcode.htm or https://qifi.org )

1Password Version: 7.9.3

  • Hey @matiaskorhonen:

This is a great idea! I've shared your thoughts about being able to generate the Wi-Fi QR codes straight from 1Password internally. Thanks for reaching out, and please get in touch if there's anything you need in the future.

Any update on this feature request @Jack.P_1P? Both Android and iOS have supported WiFi QR codes for years, and it would be so handy to use. I just had to reset my phone network settings to troubleshoot an issue, and I thought to myself, surely 1Password supports this so I don't have to manually type my extremely long network password, but alas, it seems this is not the case.

  • Hey @EnerJi

It is something that has been reviewed by our product team, but isn't on the roadmap at the moment. You can see some of the big projects we've got coming here. Perhaps once we get some of those off our plate we'll be able to add this on. 😃

I actually can't tell what you're trying to tell me on that page, it's remarkably content free.

  • It is intentionally very high level. We've always been a company that keeps future plans internal. Even internally, many items are on a need to know basis. future.1password.com represents a small shift in that mindset toward providing some limited visibility into the categories we're spending the bulk of our time on.
