Regenerating secret key ( emergency kit)

Secret key

Hi,

I have some questions about the secret key ( regenerate procedure in ios)
No problem… but some questions/ remarks.

When I regenerate my secret key I see the following screenshot.(see image)

In fact I have enough information ( for my “own” emergency kit) and do not need to download.

  1. Can I skip the “”download action”?
    1b. As far as I can see, I need to press download and there is no way to skip the button?

When I press download a emergency kit sheet appears with the new secret key.
I don’t need it ( new secret key is in allready in a safe place) and I close ( press x) this page.

2 What happens if I close (press x) the emergency kit page? Can the webpage of my emergency kit with new secret key still be found in the safari web history on my device?

    Hi @F_9083x:

    While we'd definitely recommend using the Emergency Kit, as it's a single PDF you can store securely or print out and save, if you're storing your Secret Key elsewhere in a safe place, then you can skip it.

    The Emergency Kit won't be saved in your Safari history on your device.
