1Password 7 doesn't work

Yesterday in my 1Password 7 a message appeared that said 1Password 8 for Mac was available. I had previously installed 1Password 8 but didn't like it because the 1Password 7 feature of being able to double-click a login and go directly to the website wasn't available, but thinking that there might be a new version that corrected that problem I installed it again. I found that 1Password 8 still didn't have that feature so I ignored it and continued happily using 1Password 7.

Today however I found that 1Password 7 had disappeared from my dock and it wasn't in my Applications folder! In that folder however there was a 1Password 7 app.zip file and so I reinstalled it from that zip. The problem now is that although 1Password 7 opens and it has all my logins and other information, neither double-clicking a login nor Open and Fill from the website address work. What can I do to get it working properly?
