Hi,

after my Macbook Air went to sleep, the 1password extension won't work as expected. If i open a page in Safari and want to use 1Password the icon in the Topbar (the extension icon) pops up and i have to enter my password. normally i use my fingerprint with TouchID for that. When i press the Extension-Icon and press it again, i can user TouchID. But this is a little bit annoying.

1Password Version: 8.9.4
Extension Version: 2.3.7
OS Version: MacOS 12.6
Browser:_ Safari

  • Hey @Vikon,

I'm sorry for the trouble you are having using TouchID to unlock 1Password in your browser. It sounds like 1Password may be having a hard time connecting with your desktop app. Can you try the below steps to see if it improves things:

    1. Right click the little 1Password icon on the top menu bar of your Mac (where the clock is) and select "Quit".
    2. Quit Safari by right clicking its icon in the Dock and selecting "Quit".
    3. Open and unlock 1Password.
    4. Open Safari and test if it is working properly.

    I hope this helps!
