Can't seem to limit search to just the Private vault

In v7 installed on my Mac, the search function would search just my Private vault, which was perfect. In 8.9.4 it now queries Every vault in the account bringing back All results, and there's no option in Preferences to change this back to just my Private vault by default. I don't want to see what's in my family members' vaults unless I specifically ask that.

Is there a way to change the default setting for the search field?

  • Hey @wheatshock

You can limit a search to the current vault by pressing ⌘F (Command–F) to start the search. You'll see =vault:{vault name} in the search box at the top – this is one of the various search filters available in 1Password, and you can find out more about them here: Search 1Password to find what you need.

    That'll look like this:

Give that a try. I'll be here if you need more help with anything. :)
