I have 2 matchbook Pro's which are less than 2 years old. Both worked with my external apple keyboard with Tough ID but now one doesn't unlock 1P8 with Touch ID. In fact that option is not offered. Also, Touch ID is checked in 1P8 but greyed out regardless of me using LOCK under my account and entering my password. What's going on?

  • Hi there @nhmacd

If you haven't already, try the steps shown in the "Get help" section of this article from the 1Password Support website:

Use Touch ID to unlock 1Password on your Mac — Get help

If that doesn't make a difference, try these steps:

    1. Restart your Mac, then open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    2. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Touch ID.
    3. Turn off all of the features, then turn all of them back on.
    4. In 1Password, choose 1Password > Preferences from the menu bar.
    5. Click Security, then turn off the Touch ID setting and turn it back on again.
    6. Choose 1Password > Lock from the menu bar.

Should you find that you're still having problems, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much! :)
