1Password - where is password history??????
Where is password history??
I just when to a website to change the password - so I used the suggested new password from 1password and updated the password - and Update the 1password login entry - however the website password update failed.
I now looked in 1password to find the password history - so I can change password again - and the password history is not there !!!!!

SOLVED - I found it.
When you Edit a login - YOU cannot see the history
When you are just viewing a login - click the down arrow next to the password - and select 'View Password History'
- would be nice to see this in edit screen too.

I'm happy to hear that you were able to find password history. For anyone stumbling onto this thread in the future, to see a previous password for an item in the 1Password for Mac app you can do the following:
- Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
- Click on the item that you wish to view.
- Hover over the password field.
- Click on the down arrow on the right of the password field.
- Click View Password History.
You will only see the View Password History option if there are previous passwords.
You can also restore previous versions of your items on 1Password.com: View and restore previous versions of items

Maybe in the English Version. But not in the German. In the German Version just the items Reveal and Show in Large Type exist.

i had this issue yesterday. I changed the password from an account, but then I needed the old one to check in. My workaround was to log in via 1password.com and change the password online.

The iPadOs in German spell doesn't show the item password history too. If I understand it right the History should be showed the same way as in MacOs.
Open and unlock 1Password for iPadOs.
Click on the item that you wish to view.
Hover over the password field.
Click on the down arrow on the right of the password field.
Click View Password History.iPadOS 16.2

Hi @sebibob,
Sorry to hear password history isn't appearing as expected. The behaviour should be consistent across languages, and the option only appears when a history is available. Could I confirm what category of item you tested? I'd recommend trying a test login or password item, create a password, and then edit it, let me know if you see better results.

The function works as it should. My apologies.
I had problems with an account I made last Friday. There I had to recover the password. I found the history only on the 1Password.com website. For older accounts where I have already made several changes, the function works as described.0 -
