Does the macOS Safari extension support the "Sign in with..." feature?

In the release notes for 1Password v8.9.8 I just found that Microsoft was added to the supported services for saving the "Sign in with..." information on websites. To me it seems this feature is just available in the 1Password browser extensions for Chrome (and derivatives) and Firefox. In Safari ("1Password for Safari" v2.4.1), this feature does not seem to exist, or I am unable to find it.

Can anyone confirm this only works in the other browser extensions, but not in Safari?

Thanks,
Andreas

Hi @agoeb, that feature should work in 1Password for Safari. Here's a screenshot of it in Safari from my end: https://share.cleanshot.com/rZJUfa.

Is there a specific website where you're not seeing that "Sign in with..." option in Safari? If you can share the website's URL, I will take a closer look at it.

The blog post here: https://blog.1password.com/sign-in-with-other-providers/ doesn't mention Safari, just:

It works in 1Password for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. You can even view and edit those logins directly with 1Password 8 for iOS and Android.

So what is actually the case?

  • Thank you for sharing that link @jeidd

The reason Safari isn't mentioned in the article is that we are still hoping to add a few extra things to the "Sign in with" feature in Safari before being ready to say Safari is fully supported.

If you were you running into issues using "Sign in with" in Safari or have any feedback, let me know. We are always happy to hear how we can improve 1Password for our users :)
