Suggestion for new feature: Masked phone numbers📱

Many online services and websites allow or require you to leave a phone number to use Two Factor Authentication (2FA).
Some of these work via your phone number and some have the option to use an Authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or 1Password itself.
Just like your email address, your phone number can also end up in a data breach. This happened to me due to a global data breach at Facebook.

It would be great if 1Password could work with a partner on a solution to this problem in the form of masked phone numbers, just like Firefox Relay.

Having a different phone number for every single service, for every single user...

That's probably going to be very expensive for 1Password?

If anything, they would probably use a service to integrate in 1Password like how Fastmail is.

We do have an existing feature request open to investigate a masked phone number feature and, while I can't make any promises, I'll add your comments there for the product team to consider. Thank you for the suggestion! 🙂
