Here's the problem I'm having. 1Password is blocking my browser's ability to suggest past entries in Search boxes. I've tried various Autofill settings, but the inly thing that works is disabling the 1Password extension.

I'm new to 1Password, and in my trial period, and this is absolutely a deal-breaker for me.

Yeah I've had similar issues with it overwriting (or over layering) choice in drop down menus or search boxes too - for a few months - pretty sure it's another v8 upgrade issue (that wasn't there with v7 and earlier). You running v8 @dcroe05?

Probably still will have the underlying v8 code though I suspect...

  • Hey @dcroe05,

You can use your browsers autofill alongside 1Password using these steps:

    1. Right-click 1Password's icon in your toolbar and click Settings.
    2. Under "General" turn off the "make 1Password the default password manager" option.
    3. Paste the following into Brave's address bar: brave://settings/autofill
    4. Click Addresses and more (or Payment methods) and allow Brave to autofill.

    I hope this helps!
