Browser Add-on blank after indefinite period

Hi

I have got support on this issue before, but it was never resolved and I just learned to live with it.

However, I've recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and I'm getting increasingly frustrated by 1Password to offer no autofill by any option (clicking browser button or keyboard shortcut).

I have to restart Safari for it to work and then at some point, and seemingly for no discernible reason, the drop down appears blank and won't submit/fill passwords.

I'm running OSX 10.8.2, 1Password 3.8.20 (build 31499) and Safari 6.0.2.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, Gareth! Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

The trouble with the 1Password extension can be caused by several unsupported Safari add-ons. Because of the unsupported nature in which they interact with applications, these add-ons can interfere greatly with the proper behavior of the 1Password browser extensions.

Examples of extensions we've seen that cause issues are "SafariSniffer" and "Wondershare AllMyTube/Free YouTube Downloader". It is likely other unsupported extensions would result in similar problems.

You can see if you have any of these installed by looking in these folders:

    ~/Library/ScriptingAdditions (in your Home folder)
/Library/ScriptingAdditions (in the root of your hard disk)

The most popular one is SIMBL, but there are others as well. Try moving anything you find in these folders somewhere else, for example, to your Desktop.

Once the files are moved, please restart Safari and I suspect you will be greeted with a much more enjoyable 1Password experience. Please let me know how it goes.

If you're still having trouble, could you please send us a Diagnostics Report?

In 1Password 3.8, just select Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report from the menu bar. Then attach the entire file to an email to support AT agilebits.com.

Please include a link to this thread in order that we might more quickly "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, though.

Once we see the report we should be able to help more. Thanks in advance!
