stop 1password browser tab from auto-launching

this just started and i dont recall any system changes being made but when i click the browser plugin icon on my brave browser and log in it then auto-launches a tab with the 1password website to log in again online. I then just close that tab as I dont need it as i am logged in via the browser plugin and it auto-fills what i need. why is the browser tab auto starting? how do i stop this? I seem to recall it didn't do this previously. on a macintosh with ventura 13.2.1

    Apologies for the delay here. If you're still experiencing this, could I confirm which version of the 1Password browser extension you're using? You can see this by right-clicking the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and then navigating to the "About" section in the tab that opens.

    Let me know what you find and we'll go from there!
