Hi.
I have downloaded the 1Password chrome extension:
1Password – Password Manager
2.11.0
ID: aeblfdkhhhdcdjpifhhbdiojplfjncoa
but every time I click the icon in the top right of my browser, I have to:
1. click sign in
2. Select Have a team account?
3. Insert my team name
4. write my email
5. Write my password (it already has my secret key)

And this is every single time that I click the icon, even when I do not close tabs or anything.

1Password Version: 2.11.0
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: windows 11
Browser:_ Chrome

  • Hi @ctm,

I'm sorry to hear you're encountering an issue when trying to access 1Password in your browser. Can you copy and paste chrome://settings/help in your Chrome browser's address bar and check if there is an update available? If there is an update, can you click to update then relaunch the browser, and see if you're still experiencing the same issue?

Afterwards, if the issue persists, can you try re-syncing your account using the following steps:

    1. Open your browser.
    2. Right-click the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar and select "Settings".
    3. Under General, disable the "Integrate with 1Password app" setting.
    4. Under Accounts & Vaults, click the kebab menu ( ⋮ ) to sign out of your account.
    5. Click "+ Sign in to a new account" to sign back in.
    6. Back in the 1Password extension's settings page, under General, re-enable "Integrate with 1Password app".
    • If you don't have the 1Password desktop app installed, you can leave app integration disabled.

I look forward to hearing from you!

    Hi @david.m_1P thank you.
I have tried the provided steps with no luck.

Under step 4-5 I noticed that my account is not persisted.
    Example:
    1. Under Accounts & Vaults I click "sign in to new account"
    2. I log in
    3. I open a new tab and click the 1password icon in the toolbar
    4. I have to login again
    5. I look at Accounts & Vaults and there is no account listed.

I do not have the 1Password app installed, so the integration is disabled.

I noticed that if I log in -> refresh page then I get "Your session ended when you reloaded or closed the page."

So it seems like the chrome extension and me signing in to 1Password is disconnected somehow.

Note, I have 1Password installed in Edge as well, and it does not occur in Edge.

  • Hi @ctm,

Can you reproduce the behaviour and send over a console log from your device to take a closer look at:

Please attach the console log to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com with a link to this thread and your username.** Please do not post the console log details in this public thread.**

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Once we've received your email we can assist you further over email.

I look forward to hearing from you!

The issue was the chrome policy BlockThirdPartyCookies set to true.
After setting it to false, it worked.

  • Thank you for the update @ctm.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help with at all.
