MacBook w internal display works as expected:
1Password > Settings > Security show both Touch ID and Apple Watch available for unlock.

With the lid closed and using external display and external Magic Keyboard:
1Password > Settings > Security only shows Apple Watch available for unlock.

I had expected it to still show Touch ID w lid closed and Magic Keyboard connected.

  • Hello @terjesb! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble using Touch ID with your Magic Keyboard. When your MacBook's lid is closed, are you unable to unlock 1Password using Touch ID on your Magic Keyboard or do you just not see the option in Settings? If you're unable to unlock 1Password, are you still able to unlock the MacBook itself using Touch ID on the Magic Keyboard?

As a first step can you try these steps:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password with your Mac in clamshell mode (Macbook lid closed).
    2. Plug in your Magic Keyboard to your Mac directly with the provided USB-C-to-Lightning cable.
    3. Leave the Magic Keyboard plugged in for around 10 minutes or so.
    4. After 10 minutes, unplug your Magic Keyboard and restart your Mac.

Let me know how that goes. 🙂

Thanks, this procedure seems to have fixed the problem.
