edited October 2023 in 1Password in the Browser

I have multiple accounts for different sites/services. Every time I log into a site that has more than one credential in 1Password, I get a browser pop-up saying "[Site name] is linked to" and then a diffferent entry in 1Password. Every. Single. Time. I JUST signed into the site with 1Password, and I chose the credentials I wanted to use. Why do I keep seeing this annoying pop-up and how do I get rid of it? This might be useful before I've logged in, but after I've already chosen the account I want to use, it gets in the way.

  • Hey @MSaulters,

Thanks for reaching out! Based on what you shared, it sounds like you're referring to the Social Sign-On prompts from 1Password. -> Use 1Password to sign in to sites with supported providers.

Does this happen on a specific website? If so, can you share the website URL?

In the meantime, you can disable the Social Sign-On prompts, here's how:

    1. Open your browser. Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and select "Settings.
    2. In the Autofill section, disable "Offer to save new provider sign-ins".

I hope that helps, I look forward to hearing back.
