Hello, I just did a factory reset on my MacBook Pro and after reinstalling 1Password I'm unable to see my master password as I type it. Clicking on the 'eye' icon just makes the 'eye' icon go away, but doesn't reveal my password as I type it. Has anyone experienced this and have a suggested fix? Thanks!

  • Hello @AmyKH! 👋

I'm sorry that the reveal feature isn't working on your Mac. Can you please tell me a little more about the issue? Is this when you're first adding your account to the desktop app? Or when you're unlocking either the desktop app or the browser extension?

Can you type something random into the password field (that is not your password) and then click the reveal icon. Then, to help me better understand the situation, I'd like to ask you to take a screenshot of what you're seeing and attach it to your reply:

Again: please make sure that what you type into the password field is random gibberish and not your password. Never post your password to the forum.
