Not being able to have a separate master password on IOS than Mac I believe gives me weaker security

    I upgraded to 1Password 4 (iPhone) back in December, and never even realized that the ability to have a separate master password on my phone was (supposed to be) removed. See, I have still been using my shorter phone password without any problems. My short password works on my phone, but not on my Mac desktop. On the phone, I can either use my short password, or my long one. On my Mac desktop, I can only use the long password.

    So, is this a bug? Will I be okay leaving it as it is... is it still secure... or should I reinstall the app or what?

    Hi Kip!

    It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!

    Depending on how you moved from 3 to 4 and where you have and haven't done a password change and used a changed password, you can end up maintaining two different master passwords, one local to your iOS device and another for the Agile Keychain stored on Dropbox and used on the desktop.

    I don't want to spell out the exact conditions because it is not behavior that we will necessarily keep.
