Problems after changing the master password

After setting up an account for my wife and I, I recently decided to change my master password as the administrator. Now when I try to log in using Chrome or Edge, the new password is not recognised. I can login using the app, and it shows me that the old password is still registered, but I can't us that to log-in either.
I can see there have been many previous discussions about problems with changing master passwords. I've read most of them and none provide any solution for me. Appreciate any advice or suggestions on what to do?

    Do you see a Primary vault on the device? Where did you change the password? On 1Password.com or via the 1Password application?
