How To: Determine sync method in 1Password 3 for iOS

edited August 2013 in iOS

The definitive statement about the upgrade to 1Password4 on iOS starts with "If you use 1Password 3 for iOS and Dropbox sync ..."

OK, cool, but how do I know if I am? I've been using 1Password3 on my iPhone and on my Mac for quite a while -- I certainly don't recall the original setup.

I can't find anything referencing "sync" under preferences on either, nor any hint about what I might look for in DropBox (which I also use).

( Mac version: 3.8.21; iPhone version: 3.7.2 )

    You can check to see if Dropbox is enabled in 1Password 3 for iOS by tapping: [More] > Settings > Sync

  • @khad SMH. I guess I should have taken a screenshot earlier because that BLAZINGLY OBVIOUS bright orange sync icon was definitely not there under Settings when I looked before, only the Display | Database | Security and help/feedback/about links. Bizarre.

    In any case, thanks, now I'm set (and yes, just using WiFi so no problem).

    Not sure how or why it wouldn't have been there, but I'm glad everything is working well now. :)

    If we can be of further assistance, please let us know. We are always here to help!

  • @khad - one last thing: is there a guide to the iOS 1P3 -> 1P4 upgrade?

    Anything specific you're looking for? We have this, but I'm not sure if it will help since I'm not sure what sort of guidance you are seeking:

    Let me know some more details if that doesn't help. Thanks!
