1Password Mini and Safari

In version 3 I didn't need to be running the mini version of 1Password with Safari but it looks like now I do need to in v4?

    No, you don't have to keep it in your menu bar if you don't want to. You can turn it off in the 1Password's General Preferences.

    Note that 1Password mini powers the front-end to your browser extensions, so while you can turn it off in your menu bar, it'll still show up in your browsers when you need 1Password to do something.

    I tried to turn it off but every time I click the 1Password icon in Safari it launches the mini
