Preferences not responding

Hello,
Running 1Password 1.0.9.337 on Windows 8 lenovo laptop ... and the "preferences" file menu item and the task-bar button will NOT respond: Cannot get to the preferences screen. Otherwise, program seems to work.
Tried rebooting (unfortunately, this IS a Windows machine!) and tried restarting the application a couple times.
The Firefox add-on seems to work, although it never locks automatically once I've logged on.
Any ideas to fix?

    Update - For some strange reason, 1Password totally uninstalled itself today.
    Downloaded and installed latest 1.0.9.338; program working, but "preferences" still not available.
    Help anybody?
