Passwords created on ios dont sync back to mac

I am using 1password 4 on my iphone 5 and my mac. I am using itunes file sync to sync my password file. The logins i create in ios dont get synced back to my mac. Is this expected behavior?

    iTunes file sharing doesn't actually sync. If you change something on iOS in order to see that change on your Mac you'd have manually to transfer the keychain back to your Mac using iTunes. In other words, all iTunes does is to transfer the keychain in its then current state from one device to another.

    You might want to look at wifi sync.
