I will be purchasing 1Password 4 for Mac and 1Password for iOS. My wife and I will be using the software together and seperately. Does it matter which computer the original program is downloaded too? For example, there will be four computers (three of them use Windows 7 on BootCamp; and one is a laptop). We each have one Apple cell phone. I will be the primary 'program' and 'vault' manager. Do I need licenses for Windows if it is only used under BootCamp? Does it matter whether I purchase via AgileBits web store or the Apple App store? Please provide a recommendation addressing these matters.

Thanks

    Hi @u2jimbo,

I'd love to help you get set up with 1Password! It sounds to me like what you are looking for is a Mac+Windows family license. This will allow you and your wife (and up to three other members of your household) to install 1Password on as many Macs and PCs as you personally use. Since 1Password licenses are platform-specific, you would need a separate license for the Windows software if you decide to run them in the Boot Camp partitions. But, as an added bonus, any Windows licenses purchased now will be eligible for a free upgrade to 1Password 4 for Windows when it becomes available.

You can purchase 1Password 4 (in Mac-only or convenient Mac+Windows bundles) directly from our website here: https://agilebits.com/store

If you prefer to purchase you Mac software directly from the Mac App Store, you are of course welcome to do so. In order to get the same discount for your Windows licenses that you would get from our website, please email support with your receipt for the purchase of the Mac App and we'll send you a discount code to apply to your purchase of the Windows version.

1Password 4 is available from the Mac App Store here: http://j.mp/1PmasCS

We have a support article that discusses whether you should Purchase from Mac App Store or AgileBits Website. (The short answer is, it's really up to you!)

The iOS app is available through the App Store here: http://j.mp/1PasCS

To get the equivalent of a family license for the iOS app, you simply need to log in with your AppleID on your wife's phone to download the app for her. :)

I hope this helps answer your questions, but if you need anything further, please don't hesitate to let us know - we're here to help!
