1Password 4 extension working in Firefox but not in Chrome or Safari

I just purchased 1 Password 4 for Mac and have unsuccessfully been able to get the extensions to work in Chrome and Safari.

I am now using the extension in Firefox with no problems.

I am using Mavericks on a new MacBook Pro.

I'm most interested in getting the extension to work in Chrome, my preferred browser. When I install the extension for Chrome it says that I have an older version installed. I have tried repeatedly to remove and reinstall the extension with no luck, I am unable to find any old extensions to remove.

I did try updating my network settings, advanced settings, Proxies to bypass 127.0.0.1, but that doesn't seem to have any affect.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions I can try.

    I found a coworker who had the same issue, he helped me fix it. I had installed 3.9x extension for Chrome. He pointed me to the "Install Browser Extensions" menu under the "1Password 4" menu in the app and I installed a 4.x extension. All is working now.
