Yes, you are correct. In https://1password.community/discussion/comment/713481/#Comment_713481, there is a known issue with signing in to Google's French login page if the Autosubmit option is toggled on in 1Password in the browser; it clicks the "Adresse e-mail oubliée" instead of the "Suivant" button.

Our development team is aware of this behaviour for French and German Google login pages, and we hope to have a fix for it as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I suggest temporarily turning off the Autosubmit feature. I realize that may not be ideal, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
