I cannot add an extension in Safari.

Can you try following these steps as they typically resolve the issue you're experiencing:

  1. Ensure that you are running the latest version of 1Password 8 for Mac. I've included a guide on how to check below:
  2. How to keep 1Password up to date
  3. Open the 1Password app for Mac. This will open the desktop app version.
  4. Click "Help" in the macOS top menu bar and choose "Troubleshooting", followed by "Fix Missing Safari Extension".
