upgraded to git 2.40.0 on homebrew and 1Password quit signing, throws error

I'm also having problems getting this to work.
I note that I don't have gpg.ssh.program in .gitconfig. Rather, I have
IdentityAgent "~/Library/Group Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.1password/t/agent.sock"
in .ssh/config.
I wonder if I need to reboot or at least log out/in?
