2110 TopicsAppreciation for the "Items with Duplicates" feature
This has been a long time coming, and I just wanted to show you the magnitude of the impact this will have on my 1Password experience: 1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.18 (81018040) Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS Sonoma 14.0 Browser: Arc 1.13161Views4likes3CommentsNew Sign-In Experience (Beta)
New Sign-In Experience (Beta) 👋 Hey everyone, we're excited to announce that a new sign-in experience is now live in beta! We've heard time and time again that signing into 1Password on a new device or browser is difficult, especially when having to type out your email or Secret Key manually. Now, simply choose “Scan QR Code” from the top left account menu in 1Password on your signed-in phone (Android or iOS) to quickly add your 1Password account to a new device or browser. To finish enrollment, confirm the new device or browser when prompted on your phone and voila! Your 1Password account is automatically added and ready to go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obqEheFUyis The new sign-in experience isn’t just convenient, it’s incredibly secure: when you scan the QR code, 1Password sets up an encrypted channel between your devices. It uses this channel to sign you in without asking for your credentials. The code itself is temporary and does not contain any secrets, so it’s resistant to screenshots and over-the-shoulder scans. Note: If you don't have your phone handy, you can still sign in manually too. But when adding 1Password to a new device or browser, the new sign-in experience is a quick and easy option without having to manually enter your information. And that's it! This feature is available on our beta and nightly release channels for the 1Password desktop app, TestFlight for iOS, and with the “Join the Beta” option (in the 1Password app management settings) on Android. Remember, you'll need to ensure you have the latest builds on all devices that are used to test this feature. Use your mobile phone to sign into a new device or browser and let us know what you think about this new beta feature 🙌1.3KViews2likes8CommentsEdge Browser Extension Won't open 1P windows Application

Our AMA Host Matt Grimes Senior Director of Product, End User Experience, 1Password85Views1like2CommentsPls change "Show all matching items" search default to list (with cmd-return to go to top result)
I would like to request the user preference option to toggle the search behavior in the desktop application. At present with the 1P8 when searching key words, you get a dynamic list that's generated, but the return key will automatically go to the top result's entry. In order to show the list of matching items, you have to press command-return. This is counter-intuitive and contrary, I suspect, to most UI standards. In the least, a user option to toggle the behavior would be much welcomed, such that simply hitting return shows all the matches, while cmd-return goes to the to result. 1Password Version: 8.6 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS 12.3151Views1like7CommentsSearching by tags in individual vault
Hi - I have 7 vaults, 3 of which are shared with family members. Today I went into one of those vaults to look for something and tried searching by the specific tag I had set up for the entry. When I selected the tag, it showed me everything marked with that tag in all seven vaults, not just the vault I was in. Is there a way to use tags to search just within the vault I had selected? 1Password Version: 80600051, on BETA channel Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: mac os 12.2.1121Views1like5Comments"Created" and "Modified" dates not set properly on item duplication
I know this has been reported previously, but I can't seem to find it. There's a bug in the beta where if you right-click an item and choose the Duplicate… command from the contextual menu (don't try to use the Edit ➤ Duplicate… command - that's still broken because of another bug), the newly created item has the same "created" and "modified" dates as the original item, rather than the date/time when the duplicate was in fact made/modified. Can you guys please, please, please fix this bug? I often create items by duplicating others and modifying them so as to retain custom fields and naming conventions (maybe someday custom templates will obviate this need), but this bug creates nothing but problems. For example, sorting by these fields is broken, audits get thrown off, etc. 1Password Version: 8.5.0 (80500103) Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS 12.161Views1like7Comments
