My son's access to download 1password is disabled
I had setup 1Password families via 1Password Cloud. Then a few months ago my son, who is now 13, does not have the ability to even download the app anymore. He used to be able to download it on his iPhone. The point of families is now gone for me. Can you change the age restrictions from 17+ to 10+ at least? Kids needs access to their passwords too and I don't see why this should be a 17+ age rating when I, as a parent, have given him access to 1Password Cloud. Please help. Thanks.

We don't have the ability to lower the age rating without violating Apple's rules. We have looked at a few different ways we thought we might be able to modify 1Password to be able to lower the rating and still comply, but unfortunately they've all been dead ends. That said you may be able to work around this by changing how you allow apps to be installed on your son's device. There have been a few threads on this subject here previously:

The last one is specifically what I was thinking of when I mentioned it may be possible to adjust the parental restrictions to work around this. I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

The "Ask to buy" setting doesn't appear to work. My kids don't even have the option to ask to buy 1Password, the button is just disabled.
I know you don't have any choice here so for whatever it's worth I've sent Apple senior management an email asking for an exception for 1Password. Doubtful it will make a difference, but you never know :)0
