create new vault greyed out version 7

Running version 7 downloaded from your website not apple app store. trying to create new vault but option is greyed out. how do i access this functionality?

1Password Version: 7.2.4
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: Mojave OS
Sync Type: MacBook
Referrer: forum-search:create new vault is greyed out

    Hi @mayesbj - Just to clarify, do you have a 1Password.com account added in the app? You can check this by going to Preferences -> Accounts
