login failure, while signing in to 1password on mac and website

Dear,

I had a stand-alone version of 1password, but decided to switch to a membership version - which I bought via phone in the app-store.
Instalment on phone went fine, however, when I now try to add this membership (via preferences / account / sign in) he doesn't seem to recognise my password. Please help further, it's been bugging me all morning, and I can't progress.

OS Version: 10.14.1
Sync Type: dropbox

    Good morning @rosalie . It's possible that your old Master Password is not the same as the new Master Password you created for your account. You can check this on your iPhone:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for iOS.
    2. Tap into the search field.
    3. Type 1Password
    4. Tap on the 1Password account item shown in the search results.
    5. Tap on the password field for that item and reveal it.

    You should be able to use this password to sign into your account. Let me know how this works out for you and if there's anything else I can do to help.
