Hey everyone, I’m sorry about the length of my question but I’m a grandpa and my grandkids aren’t old enough to help me yet.

I have a licensed 1Password program on my mac book pro (1Password 6.0.1)
The mac book is running on High Sierra 10.13.6
Yesterday I upgraded to to the 1Password subscription model.
The account was set up with no problem. Secret Key, Emergency kit, etc. all fine..

I downloaded the install app for 1Password 7.2.4
Click
Trusted source screen appears, I hit continue.

Introduction Screen appears. I hit continue.

Installation type screen appears. I hit Install for standard installation.

Quit 1Password screen appears.
Two items show in window (1Password & 1Password mini). I am given two buttons to select from (Quit all in window or Go Back). The continue button is inactive.
I click “Quit All” 1Password disappears. 1Password mini continues to run even if I quit all again. The continue button is still inactive.

I can not get past this page to installation. What am I doing wrong?
Until I get this installed I can’t port over accounts from old vault. I’m also afraid to try getting this running on my iPad and iPhne
Thanks everyone.

  • Hi @A62YrOldsterFromKS ,

Let's try this. First, compress 1Password 6 in your Applications folder by right-clicking (or two-finger clicking on trackpad) and selecting "Compress 1Password 6" from the menu. When it has finished, trash the copy of 1Password 6 (not the zip version).

    Then restart your Mac.

Now try to install and start 1Password 7 again. It should be ok this time. If not, please let us know.

    Cheers,
    Kevin
