Having problems with 1PW on new MacBook Air

I recently transferred my 1PW from a MacMini to a new MacBook Air. Everything seemed to be working ok. I also have 1PW installed on a iPad Air 2 (working fine)

All of a sudden, when I click on the 1PW icon in the menu bar, I get a panel asking for a password to unlock the touch id feature, when I enter the password from my records, I am tole PW not found.

See attached screen shot:

I Now have to rely on my 1PW app on the iPad Air to get Passwords and enter into the MacBook Air (a real pain!)

Do I need to re-install?

Can you help with this issue?

Thanks in advance!

  • @ChuckR,

It looks like you have the caps lock key pressed, try turning off caps lock and typing your password in again.

No, that was not it. Tried twice again. Thanks for your response.

@ChuckR - if you've taken off caps lock and tried what you think is the Master Password, then it sounds as if you may have created more than one Master Password, perhaps a different one when you signed up for a 1password.com membership/account? Did you previously have a standalone setup, and recently create a 1password.com account?
