How do I login to iMessage on a mac as it won't fill in my information?
I launch the iMessage application on my mac
It asks for appleID and Password, however it will not allow me to access 1Password username and password. So I am unable to login,

Welcome to the forum, @slammyj! As of yet, 1Password does not have the ability to fill directly into Applications (other than browsers) on your Mac, in the way it does if you use 1Password for iOS. That ability is likely to be coming from Apple in the not-too-distant future, but for the present, if you need to enter a username/password combination into a native application in macOS, you'll need to copy/paste it from within 1Password -- either the main window or the mini.
